How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

I can't blame you. I knew this place could be pretty bad though. There are a lot of perves in the world and a higher than average number like to congregate in places like DA.
DA is great because of the wide variety of material that is here and the amount of traffic, but with that traffic comes occasional concentrations of creeps.
I agree with LYLL about Model Mayhem for you. Whatever you do though, it was great encountering you here. Keep your chin up and keep striving for better.

I'd recommend Model Mayhem for your art-- where it will be seen by photographers, models and stylists ONLY, and where the comment ethic is a very different thing.

Also Flickr-- which can be a trash dump, too, but where you can focus your participation in groups that, again, are dialed in to more mature or focused or artistic sensibilities.

People on here and unbelievably immature. Like, it's excessive. I honestly believe a majority of the people on this website are shut-ins, people with intense social issues, pedophiles, rapists, and lots of autistic people as well.

I agree with you. Like I said before: it irks me when I see see some of the comments people leave, whether they're to me or not, it doesn't matter. It's just rude. If some of them are autistic, I can understand why they may say certain things. I've worked with autistic students before and I have an autistic nephew so I've had some experience with them. Believe me, sometimes...you never know what they're going to say :/ But those who have "control" over their communication skills? They need to find a different site to go to if they can only harass others on here. There's no need for it.

I hear ya. It's CREEPY! I feel bad for a majority of the ladies on here who actually want to show their art, whatever the medium, because you're right: there's a lot of "lurkers" on here. I love mountains, running water, and the human figure. BUT...I have respect for the subject matter and the artist. I try to treat people the way I would like to be treated. Apparently, that's waaaaay too much to ask for from some people.
